Beaver’s Cottage Agrotourism is located in the south-western part of the Masuria District, in the Iława-Ostróda Lake District.
Close to Iława (5km), Lubawa (15 km), and Ostróda (20 km), just at the Iławskie Lake shore, in a tiny village named Dól, where time stopped long ago or at least slowed down. The cottage, situated amongst pristine nature, surrounded with a garden with a countless number of flowers and a real silence, is an oasis of peace, providing the tired senses with fantastic leisure time.

An ideal location

The area around Jeziorak is a valuable part of the Green Lungs of Poland. Numerous unique species of plants and animals occurring here and interesting terrain shape make this place one of the most beautiful parts of Poland. In the most beautiful part of Iława Lake District in 1993, on the area of over 20000 hectares, the Landscape Park of the Iława Lake District was created. Its area was surrounded by a 18,000 hectares buffer zone.

Within the park’s borders, several nature reserves were created, protecting numerous unique fragments of forests, bird breeding areas, forest lakes and mires. Among them, some should be distinguished: „Czerwica Lake” – created to protect the cormorant colony, „Gaudy Lake” – protecting water and marsh birds breeding areas, interesting and unique vegetation in „Jasne Lake” reserve with very clear water.

In the park there are 31 water bodies, with the longest Polish lake – Jeziorak. There were found 187 species of vertebrates, including 135 species of birds (116 protected), 32 species of mammals, 11 species of amphibians and 5 species of protected reptiles. Among numerous protected species, there are many endangered animals at the national and even world scale. The globally endangered bird species occurring in the park are: white-tailed eagle, corn crake and ferruginous duck . The vegetation world is equally interesting and rich. The main elements of the local flora are large forest areas and aquatic plants. 790 taxa of plants were found here, which is 35% of Poland’s flora. In the park there are also more than 60 monuments of nature.

There are three educational paths in the park area: „Jasne”, about 3 km long with fourteen information boards, „Silm”, about 2 km long with thirty three information boards and a historical and nature educational path „Solniki” 14 km long. It can also be recommended for hiking and biking enthusiasts the historical and natural tourist trail „Szymbark – Kamieniec” 35 km long.

What we can offer to our guests?

We offer to our guests: two double rooms, four 3-bed rooms (TV, high speed Internet, bathroom, shower, toilet), dining room, bridge and beach with the possibility of using water bike and a boat, garden gazebo giving pleasant shade on hot days, and in the evenings it is nice place for meetings by the fireplace. „Beaver’s Cottage” also offers a place for bonfire with a field kitchen, where you can fry caught by yourselves fresh fish or have a barbecue. For our guests we provide relax with a cup of coffee in the garden cafe in the shade of an umbrella or in the garden swings and benches. There is a possibility of using ecological vegetable and herb garden crops and fruit from trees and shrubs. Raspberries, currants, gooseberries, blueberries grow in our garden, and in the autumn, apples, pears and plums as well.
